Kista International School is a primary school located in Akalla. The school is a free school founded in 2010 and is owned by a non-profit association. It is a growing school that in the academic year 25/26 will have approximately 750 students in grades F-9. The school is very successful and has had around 90% eligibility for upper secondary school in recent years, ranking among the top three schools in the entire country in the Swedish National Agency for Education's survey. We strongly believe in having high expectations for our students and we are not satisfied until all students succeed. To achieve this goal, we work hard to strengthen cooperation with homes, maintain order and structure in the school, and take care of our teachers so that they thrive and can do a good job. We are very committed to our good collegial culture at the school, and in the work teams, we have a very good collaboration and support each other. We have a high adult presence in the school and work for a structured and well-organized student health effort.

We are now looking for two teachers in Science and Technology. It may also be advantageous if one can teach Mathematics as well. There is already a teacher at the school with the same combination, so you will be part of a subject team consisting of three teachers. We are already working with co-teaching in Mathematics and hope to start trying this in Science as well. In Technology, teaching takes place in half classes. You will teach grades 7-9. The teachers co-plan and support each other, where equality in teaching for the students is important. You need to be confident in teaching and be able to inspire students with joy to want to learn more. The role requires you to be structured, have the ability to teach in a pedagogical way to encourage students towards more knowledge, and possess good leadership qualities and understand the importance of relationship building.

We always strive to hire qualified teachers, but if you are a student teacher or have other interesting educational and professional experience related to the content of the assignment, we also welcome applications from unqualified teachers who have experience teaching in primary schools in Sweden. The positions are 100%. Start on August 4 or by agreement. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. Applications are only accepted in Swedish.
