The Position and Responsibilities

As a teacher, you play an important role in contributing to Botkyrka municipality becoming Sweden's best school municipality, where students succeed in school and develop according to their unique abilities.

In your role, you will conduct teaching and related tasks such as preparation and follow-up of lessons as well as grading. You will be part of a work team and participate in the team's collective work. You will also collaborate with other staff at the school. You actively participate in the school's value-based work and work inclusively. You are keen to stay updated as a teacher and in your subjects through monitoring the outside world, professional development, and collegial learning. Mentorship is a central part of your role through social contacts with students and classes, communication with guardians, absence management, and development talks, as well as collaboration with authorities and social services. In your role, you will collaborate with the student health team. You are expected to be able to work with digital tools in your teaching.

As a special teacher at Kassmyraskolan adapted primary school, you will be part of a work team of 12 people. The adapted primary school has students who study both subjects and subject areas. You will have primary responsibility for the students studying subject areas. To support your teaching, you will collaborate with teaching assistants and other teaching staff.

Together with other teachers in the adapted primary school, you will plan and implement teaching based on each student's needs and prerequisites, placing high demands on individualization and extra adaptations. You will have close communication and collaboration with guardians and also other external instances, e.g., habilitation. As the team leader for the adapted primary school, you will work together with school management, teachers, assistants, and other staff to ensure that students have the opportunity to develop as far as possible. You will have in-depth knowledge of children's and adolescents' development and learning and work based on current governing documents when planning and executing your teaching. Through pedagogical mapping, you will work preventively and follow up and evaluate implemented measures together with those involved at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

You will contribute your expertise and guide teaching assistants in the pedagogical work.

• You must have a teaching license for teaching grades 1-6, preferably for adapted primary school.
• You must have experience working as a special teacher or special educator for students with intellectual disabilities and autism.
• You see school development as a natural part of the job and view collegial collaboration as an important factor for success.
• You are a responsible person who can meet students and educators with warmth and respect.
• You have experience with pedagogical mappings for reassessments, USS, and ÅP, intellectual disabilities, language disorders, and NPF, sign communication, TAKK.
• You have experience with low-arousal responses and sign support as well as familiarity with ICT aids.
• You show commitment and create good conditions for all students.
• You work in a structured manner and focus on the student.
• You can follow up on students' development and communicate this clearly with colleagues and guardians.
