International English School (IES) in Liljeholmen is now looking for a dedicated special education teacher with an interest and passion for mathematics. The position is a parental leave replacement until June 2026.

About the role
As a special education teacher for grades 7-9 with us, you will work closely with students in smaller groups, focusing on language development and tailored instruction in mathematics. Daily tasks include assessing students' needs, planning and implementing support teaching, and some documentation. The idea is that you will follow the students' knowledge development and work both to guide teachers and perform direct interventions with individual students, in smaller groups, and in class. Instruction primarily takes place in Swedish, but since we are an international school, good knowledge of English is an important part of the job.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a licensed special education teacher or has equivalent qualifications.
  • Has deep subject knowledge in mathematics and is an enthusiastic educator who enjoys working closely with students.
  • Is passionate about language development and supporting students on their learning journey.
  • Is positive, solution-oriented, and a team player who values collaboration and engagement.
  • Has good knowledge of both Swedish and English.
