Park School is a small primary school for students from preschool to grade 3.

The school is located in a green oasis in Hagalund, close to Solna center and public transport. Here, dedicated and knowledgeable teachers and leisure staff support and challenge students in their learning.

We have many different community-building activities to ensure that everyone feels safe and included in school and after-school care. The work in the classrooms is characterized by a calm working environment with a focus on learning and knowledge.

We are now looking for a primary teacher for after-school care with a focus on sports and health.

The position means that you will be 50% sports teacher and 50% placed in after-school care.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed teacher in after-school care
• has the qualifications to teach sports and health
• is well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents
• is familiar with digital tools that you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
• has experience working with children
• master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing
• is well acquainted with and adheres to the ethical principles for teachers and has the ability to promote democratic values, assuming that all students are equally valuable.

Your leadership is based on the belief that all children can and want to develop. Your teaching is based on scientific principles and proven experience that enables you to create good learning environments. As a person, you are attentive to the needs of students, clear, respectful, and have a great ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You plan, organize, and prioritize effectively and ensure that all processes are completed with good quality.

What does the job entail?

The assignment includes planning, implementing, following up, and developing creative, varied, and meaningful teaching in after-school care in accordance with the new curriculum Lgr22. This is done together with other staff in our after-school care. We work in age-integrated teams and apply differentiated teaching. You will also collaborate with teachers and be part of school instruction where you will work with the value foundation and the school's democratic mission. Work in small groups and individually with students may occur.

The teams design and develop the operations to lay a good foundation for students' development. School development in Solna includes language-developing methods, value foundation, and creating an accessible learning environment. Staff working in after-school care in Solna are also part of a central network with regular meetings where they participate in training, lectures, and joint discussions.

In teaching sports and health, you participate in all parts of the subject, from developing ideas and planning lessons to creating and evaluating the work. You conduct sports education, pedagogical documentation, and create an inclusive and safe environment where all students feel welcome and included.
