Eriksdal School is a F-9 school in Södermalm, close to both the city's pulse and beautiful natural areas.

The school is vibrant with about 970 students in grades F-9. At Eriksdal School, we have students in both regular and adapted primary school. Together with our competent students and staff, we create the best school for our students.

At the school, we have a well-developed student health service with all professions and studios with special teachers and special educators who, together with staff, create good conditions for all students. We are now looking for someone who, in your role as a study and career counselor, wants to be part of our important work!

Your Role

As a study and career counselor, you enjoy working with people. You want to help others choose careers and education!

In your role as a study and career counselor, you work systematically with guidance and support for students through, for example, individual conversations, information in classes and groups, and information meetings with guardians. You are part of the school's student health service and have an active role in the student health team at the school.

We see that you are structured, have a good ability to collaborate, and communicate in a clear and effective manner.

Your Competence and Experience

The study and career counselor has competence that includes deep and current knowledge about educational pathways and education systems, labor market, working life, and professions. Theoretical knowledge in career choices and guidance, skills in conversation methodology, and methods for choice and decision-making are also required.

The work involves varied tasks, and to succeed in the role of study and career counselor, you should be structured, proactive, and communicative.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability as this role requires you to be skilled at collaborating and building good relationships. We prefer that you have experience working as a study and career counselor characterized by well-functioning student contacts and good collaboration with parents and other school staff. You enjoy guiding others and have a good ability to see solutions to problems that arise. Experience in both regular and adapted primary school is an advantage.
