At Hölöskolan, we are looking for a teacher for the middle school. You will belong to a work team where you will collaborate with other teachers in grades 4 – 6 as well as teachers in crafts and art. The work team collaborates with special educators and counselors to support our students. To create security and a conducive learning environment, we advocate for class teaching, although some subject division occurs today. At Hölöskolan, a conducive learning environment and safety are prioritized areas of development, and we highly value Hölöskolan's lesson structure. Other prioritized areas include good attendance and language-developing methods. A structured collegial effort to enhance teaching is successfully driven by our lead teachers.
Your responsibilities
You will conduct teaching based on Lgr 22. Together with teachers in parallel grades, other subject teachers, or colleagues in the work team, you will make rough and detailed planning for your teaching. Through your secure and clear leadership, you will conduct teaching that you adapt based on your students. Your teaching will be followed up through formative and summative feedback, and you will plan your teaching based on the needs of the class/student. You will assess students' knowledge based on the criteria in Lgr 22 and maintain an open dialogue with management and student health regarding students in need of extra support. You will also have close and good contact with guardians. Collaboration with the work team and subject groups is part of your assignment. Actively participating in meetings, conferences, and gatherings of various kinds to contribute positively and enthusiastically to increased learning for our students is also part of your role.

You are a clear leader while creating a safe learning environment for the students. You are attentive and meet students based on their conditions while building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results, which means being responsive to each student's conditions and needs. You have the ability to “continuously assess your students' knowledge and abilities,” which means that assessments during mid-term evaluations and end-of-term do not pose significant problems.

- You have good knowledge of teaching both Swedish and mathematics.

Requirements:
- You are certified to teach in middle school.
- You are qualified to teach Swedish and mathematics and have experience and knowledge in both subjects.
Meritorious:
- You have experience teaching.
- You have experience leading groups of various kinds.
- Knowledge in psychology and/or NPF.

At Hölöskolan, we conduct systematic quality work focusing on accessible learning environments, attendance, and operationally close student health. To develop teaching, and thus learning, at the school, our lead teachers conduct collegial work in the area. Time is therefore allocated for both reading current research and reflecting on and analyzing one's own teaching, as we believe this is of great importance.
Hölöskolan is a municipal school beautifully situated with nature around it in a very quiet and rural area of Södertälje municipality. We are a two-parallel F - 9 school, and about 55 people work with our 420 students. There is a municipal library in the school that has just been renovated and is fantastic. The library is open to students in the mornings and to the public in the afternoons. We also have a library educator who this school year has created fantastic podcasts with our students. Adjacent to the school, there are also sports facilities, football fields, outdoor gyms, and exercise tracks. We have a kitchen that prepares good and nutritious food every day. About 80% of the food is locally grown or organic. At Hölöskolan, we work to ensure that all students, regardless of background or conditions, achieve the goals in all subjects through an accessible learning environment characterized by a salutogenic approach where clarity in the joint work creates security, which in turn creates well-being.
The position we are looking for is a full-time position (100%).
