Welcome to Väringaskolan's after-school program. As a leisure leader at Väringaskolan, you will work to ensure that the student's entire day is rewarding, developing, and safe. We place great importance on the good collaboration between school and after-school program.

As an educator in the after-school program, it is important that you are a safe point for the students, that you have the ability to create good relationships with our students, and that you are a good leader. You work based on the curriculum as a natural resource in your assignment. You have excellent collaboration skills both with students and with other staff and guardians in the organization. As a leisure leader, you will work alongside the teachers in the classroom during school days to create the best conditions for the students' education. Your role may vary depending on the needs of the group and individuals. This may mean that you sometimes work individually with a student and sometimes with entire groups.

Väringaskolan operates in parallel, where each class is divided into two classrooms with two teachers. Our co-teaching system is the foundation for quality education and smaller teaching groups.

You are, together with your colleagues, responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work in the after-school program. We want you to engage in developing work and help create opportunities for all students to succeed throughout the day. You take your own initiatives to capture students' interests and ensure they get to try many different and challenging activities. You collaborate with other school staff to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff and actively participate in the school's development work.

The position is a fixed-term long-term substitute. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Väringaskolan is operated as a non-profit association and is owned by Väringaskolan's parent association. The facility is located in the picturesque town of Sigtuna. Väringaskolan consists of preschool, preschool class, school, and after-school program. Currently, there are about 300 children and students in the facility.
