Fornbackaskolan is a two-parallel F-6 school with approximately 340 students and 80 staff members. We are a primary school and an adapted primary school, which also includes a department for students with mobility impairments. The school also has its own special education group and a municipality-wide special education group. Fornbackaskolan is a multicultural school located in a residential area where most of our students live.

At Fornbackaskolan, we work based on a language and knowledge-developing approach. Here, the importance of communication and interaction is central. The teachers use cooperative support structures to encourage students to communicate and actively use language. The focus is also on strengthening students' reading skills by systematically training decoding and language comprehension. We actively work to increase students' vocabulary by introducing new words in meaningful contexts and providing opportunities for students to use the words in conversation exercises or their own produced texts.

With the help of an accessible learning environment, we ensure that all students have a positive learning experience and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In the classrooms, there are interactive boards and tablets available. All tablets are equipped with the programs available in Skolon, the municipality's shared digital platform.

We at Fornbackaskolan are looking for two overarching special educators, one responsible for the primary school grades F-6 and one responsible for our KÖSU and adapted primary school.
As a special educator at Fornbackaskolan, you will be part of the school's student health team, and together with other professionals, you will be responsible for conducting the school's overall student health work with a focus on promoting and preventive work at the organizational and group level.

Main tasks include:
- Leading pedagogical guidance and being a qualified conversation partner and advisor in pedagogical matters for colleagues, guardians, and other stakeholders, as well as guiding colleagues with the aim of increasing understanding and knowledge of how relational leadership promotes students' well-being and goal fulfillment
- Together with school management and teaching staff, conducting follow-up and evaluation of students' results and leading the development of pedagogical work with the goal of meeting the needs of all students
- Being responsible for conducting pedagogical assessments and analyzing difficulties at the organizational, group, and individual levels, as well as developing measures that can meet the student's needs through changes at the group and school levels, through the leadership and stimulation of teaching, through additional adaptations, and through special support.
