Workplace Description

Spånga School is a municipal school with approximately 500 students in grades 7-9. The school is located in Solhem near Spånga center with very good transport connections, only 12 minutes to Stockholm Central.

The school's management consists of a principal, three vice principals, and an administrative manager. The school has six lead teachers responsible for various development areas. The proportion of qualified teachers is high, and they are organized into three teams that collaborate with a competent student health team consisting of counselors, school nurses, career advisors, and five special educators/teachers. Each team also includes a study mentor who works with values education and the overall well-being of the students.

Spånga School offers a nationally recruiting advanced program in mathematics and science in each grade. The school also has two groups for newly arrived students and a special education group. Additionally, there is a regional special education group associated with the school.

We have a well-equipped school library with a full-time librarian. In our break room, Grottan, and on our schoolyard, students can spend their breaks. The primary school shares facilities with Spånga High School, which contributes to good coordination opportunities.

Job Description

You will teach woodworking and metalworking in grades 7-9 and in our regional special education group. As a teacher, you are responsible for the implementation, documentation, and evaluation of the classes you teach. You will belong to a team where you share your teaching and where the team collectively takes responsibility for and develops the work with the classes. There are other teachers in crafts at the school, and you will plan your teaching together.

Qualifications

Teacher with teaching certification and qualification in woodworking and metalworking for grades 7-9.

You are a clear leader in the classroom and create a safe learning environment for the students. You are attentive and meet the students based on their needs while building positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
