IES Sigtuna is looking for a certified Swedish teacher for grades 7-9

International English School (IES) Sigtuna is seeking an engaged and qualified Swedish teacher for grades 7-9. This is a full-time temporary position starting in April and lasting until August.

About the role

As a Swedish teacher at IES Sigtuna, you will be responsible for teaching Swedish for grades 7-9. Your duties include planning, teaching, grading, and following up on students' development. You will also have mentorship for one of the classes you teach, which involves student support and communication with guardians.

You are expected to actively participate in meetings with colleagues, students, and guardians, as well as work to uphold IES's values and vision. Our school focuses on learning in a safe and calm environment where our routines and rules are followed by both students and staff.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher in Swedish for grades 7-9.
• Is flexible, engaged, and a team player with a positive attitude towards teaching.
• Has clear leadership skills and can create a good learning environment in the classroom.
• Can adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of students and collaborate with the student health team and special educators to create inclusive teaching.
• Sees clear and continuous feedback to students and guardians as a natural part of your teaching.

International English School in Sigtuna is a school for students in grades F to 9, with a student body of 600 and a staff of around 65 employees. Our school is known for its high educational quality, strengthened by an international staff group and a teaching environment where up to 50% of the teaching is conducted in English.
