Emilshus continues to expand and is now looking for an additional Property Economist.

About the position

You will be part of a team, together with five other property economists. Your colleagues are all experienced economists and are responsible for the accounting of 172 properties and legal entities within Emilshus's property portfolio. Initially, you will support your colleagues in their work, and over time you will take over the overall responsibility for a number of properties.

Responsibilities and duties

As a Property Economist at Emilshus, you will work with:

- Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in property-owning companies

- Ongoing accounting tasks

- Responsibility for the company's bank balances according to applicable authorizations and contact with banks regarding ongoing issues

- To be responsible for reconciling specified balance accounts in connection with financial statements

- Implementation of new companies when transactions are executed

- Ongoing management of property tax, VAT, and other reporting to authorities.

- Ongoing contact with authorities and preparation of information to be registered with authorities such as the Companies Registration Office, the Tax Agency, etc.

- Preparation and maintenance of documents and checklists for what should exist for each property-owning company

- To follow all routines and policies within the company

- Other relevant tasks within the area

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a couple of years of experience in similar work and who is ready to take the next step in their career. We believe that you have:

- Experience in a role such as accounting assistant, accounting economist, or similar

- A good theoretical foundation in economics, higher education or equivalent

- Good knowledge of Excel and good system familiarity as well as experience with accounting software

- Fluent knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as a good command of English in speech and writing
