Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

IES Bromma is a school for grades 4-9 with 945 students and 100 staff. Our six English teachers are part of the English Department. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English. Our school is located at Brommaplan, 15 minutes from the city centre, close to buses and the subway.

IES Bromma is a community of professionals and whether new to teaching or an experienced educator, you will have the opportunity to develop.

We are looking for a qualified home economics teacher for grades 6-9 to join us in August 2025 for a maternity post.

You must be knowledgeable and passionate about home economics, with a strong background in teaching various cooking skills and subject knowledge with emphasis on nutrition, environmental aspects, budgeting and social equality and equity.

You will be a leader in the classroom, equipped with the tools to create a calm and supportive learning environment. By differentiating your teaching, you will effectively meet the diverse needs of all your students, ensuring each individual can grow and succeed within the subject. Continuous formative feedback will play a central role in your teaching approach, supporting steady student development and boosting their confidence in their cooking skills and subject knowledge.

As a teacher you are well organized, a dedicated team player that allows for flexibility, and that is passionate not only about teaching your subject but also about building meaningful relationships with your students and colleagues.
