Wasaskolan is located right next to large green areas with a newly renovated schoolyard for break activities. Inside, you will find a well-maintained equipped school with bright rooms and plenty of natural light, as well as a brand new cafeteria. We also have a nice school library with a trained librarian where students can sit and read or borrow books. Wasaskolan is a K-9 school with about 520 students. We also have an adapted primary school which provides good integration opportunities. Here, you will meet a large student health team, good administration, and maintenance staff. All to ensure that you as a teacher have the best support in your teaching. Together, we who work at the school form a strength of about 80 staff members.

The position is a parental substitute for one term, from August to December.

A day at work

You will work 80%. You are responsible for and conduct teaching in home economics for grades 6, 8 & 9. You teach in an inspiring, exciting, developing, and inclusive way with a focus on students' development and learning. The position also includes other usual teacher tasks such as collegial collaboration, assessment, conferences, and contact with guardians. You focus on hygiene, classroom maintenance, and the quality of teaching through recurring reflection and analysis of pedagogical leadership as well as goal and result management. You are part of the work team for grades 7-9 where you support and help each other in the social work around students and plan for the highest possible goal fulfillment.

Who are you?

Requirements:
- Degree with teaching certification, specializing in home economics.
- You are well acquainted with the school as an organization and are familiar with the assignments and governing documents.
- You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- You are comfortable communicating with students, guardians, and colleagues in a way that takes responsibility for the message and ensures that the recipient understands what you mean.
- We expect you to be a secure adult who can support all students in their development towards their abilities and have good competence to meet all children based on their conditions and needs.

Meritorious:
- Experience teaching home economics.
- Experience and knowledge in using digital tools.
- Experience working in a multicultural area.
