Job Responsibilities

Your task as a camp leader at Utepedagogik's campgrounds is to be responsible for children aged 9-13 years or 13-16 years, as well as to plan and lead activities for this participant group. Camp involves round-the-clock activities for the youth and us leaders. As a leader, you live and work at the campground together with the children and youth, so you need to be comfortable being away from home for at least 6 weeks.

A large part of the job is to meet the needs of young people and be able to guide them in their decisions. To meet this, we believe you need to be secure in yourself, your leadership role, and be able to set boundaries. You should also feel comfortable in more life-oriented conversations. This is largely similar to working in schools where there is a demand to set boundaries while also creating relationships to establish a safe environment.

Experience

You who are applying should have a strong interest in guiding children and youth, as well as being able to work outdoors since most of our activities are held outdoors. Experience in setting boundaries and building relationships with children aged 9-16 is important. We believe that those who have experience with elementary school students have a good foundation for succeeding in your role as a camp leader. Activities we do include hiking, building rafts, climbing, swimming, and cooking outdoors. We will also have artistic activities such as theater, dance, and singing. Disco, soccer tournaments, and themed days are also on the schedule.

About the Company

Utepedagogik Sverige AB conducts camp/camp activities at several different campgrounds across Sweden for children and youth aged 9-16 years, focusing on adventure and our activities are oriented towards outdoor educational activities. Employment Conditions

The position is full-time. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the campground in Värmland from May 1 - May 4, and June 6 - 11. During the summer, you need to be able to work, and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period of June 12 - August 18.
