The building itself is one of the hottest and most monitored construction projects in Stockholm. In addition to operations for grades F – 9 and adapted primary school, there is a full-size sports hall, public library, youth center, cultural school, orchestra hall, and a café. The school's premises are spacious, modernly furnished, and contain everything required for high-quality teaching. When fully developed, the school accommodates approximately 750 students in grades F-9, after-school care, and an adapted primary school. During the day, our premises are used by the school. After school hours, cultural school, associations, private individuals, and other actors conduct activities in the premises. The culture and leisure administration and education administration staff closely collaborate in these premises to create opportunities for broader learning.

Parts of the middle school premises are also prepared for overnight stays during camps and tournaments.

As the school is the municipality's newest and one of the most modern, both research and proven experience will permeate the educational environment.

Vega continues to grow in middle school, and we now need to establish a completely new work team, work team 7. This means that the middle school will be fully developed by autumn, where we have 5 parallel classes from grades 7–9.

Your mission

We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment to students' learning, safety, and future and has teaching that is characterized by high quality. You thrive with, have experience, and are qualified to teach technology in grades 7 – 9. In TM craftsmanship, you are expected to have qualifications from grades 3-9.

You are a clear leader who is confident in your teaching role. You are a creative, flexible, and engaged teacher who wants to develop teaching and works to ensure that each student reaches as far as possible in their knowledge and personal development. You are keen to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect, and you understand the importance of teaching being creative and stimulating while also being based on research and proven methods. You are unpretentious and curious and share your knowledge with others.

Your mission includes planning, implementing, evaluating, and being responsible for the pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs and interests; both individually and together with your colleagues.

Collaboration with colleagues is a key factor and a natural element where collegial learning is fundamental. At Vega School, we value the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Since the culture and leisure administration has parts of its operations in the same building, we see it as natural that you have an interest and a willingness to collaborate with other actors and view the student's goal fulfillment from a holistic perspective, where all parts contribute.

Your mission includes mentorship for a grade 7 class. You are part of work team 7 and also part of a team with teachers from a F-9 perspective, where you are involved in the collegial work with the development of the pedagogical activities at the school.

All of the school's educators are well aware of the importance of having an F-9 perspective, which we also expect from you. Another part of the common thread is our shared structure in and outside the classroom.

What we are looking for in you

You are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach wood and metal craftsmanship and technology. It is an advantage if you have experience with language-developing methods and various NPF diagnoses or additional qualifications.

You should be aware that the school is relatively new, which means that there are demands for high flexibility and a willingness to perform other tasks during the start-up phase.
