Workplace Description

Slättgårdsskolan is a school with approximately 530 students currently divided into two different units since a fire in 2020.

The school is under construction with a move-in date in 2026, featuring entirely new premises for subjects such as Home Economics and Consumer Studies. In the meantime, grades F-4 are located in a newly built section of Slättgårdsskolan in Bredäng, while grades 5-9 are in Vårberg.

We have dedicated and ambitious staff who contribute to the development of our activities, which is reflected in the good academic results.

We are working to develop learning in digital environments, and all our students have their own digital tools.

Job Description

We are looking for an engaged and goal-oriented teacher in Math/Science and Technology for teaching in grade 4. You are a clear and confident leader in the classroom who understands the importance of building relationships with your students. You have high expectations for the students and involve them in planning while developing their ability to learn, both independently and collaboratively. Your teaching is differentiated to engage both students with difficulties and those who need challenges. You take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results to create a stimulating learning environment. You thrive in a changing environment where you contribute to the school's development and well-being. Mentorship is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

Is a certified teacher qualified in Math, Science, and Technology for grades 4-6 with several years of teaching experience.
It is advantageous if you hold a degree in middle school education.
Is a clear leader with the ability to adapt teaching and create good relationships with students.
Has good classroom leadership and works with goal-setting, planning, and documentation.
Has a solution-oriented approach in contact with students, guardians, and colleagues.
Sees the school as a whole where we all share a common responsibility for students' development.
Recognizes the importance of and has the ability to develop effective routines and classroom structures.
Can integrate digital technology into daily operations and as a tool in your own work. Our middle school students use computers in their teaching.
