Site Manager at Hercules

In the North region, we carry out foundation work in both small and large projects. Hercules operates throughout the country and works with both NCC and external customers. The position belongs to Region North and is primarily located in Örebro County, but may also involve work in other locations within the region during certain periods.

The Role of Site Manager

We are looking for a Site Manager in foundation work who wants to be involved from the start. In this role, you will independently drive one or more smaller projects – from the time the bid is secured and handed over to production.

In smaller projects, you work as an official, while in medium-sized projects you collaborate with the Foreman. You lead and distribute tasks for both officials, skilled workers, and any subcontractors, but you do not have personnel responsibility. However, you have occupational safety responsibility according to delegation and ensure that the workplace meets all applicable requirements.

The work includes production budget, forecasts, resource planning, and other administration to ensure efficient and profitable production. You handle invoices, forecasts, and additional work, as well as being responsible for time reporting for both skilled workers and officials in the project.

An important part of the role is to build and maintain customer relationships and work with upselling through good delivery and proactive dialogue with the customer. You see business opportunities and seize them with good profitability.

You are also responsible for holding workplace meetings and participating in construction meetings. Projects can vary in size, and you may have several projects running concurrently. Most are located in the local area, but some may involve overnight stays in other locations during the week (usually Monday to Thursday).

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a technical education in construction, such as a bachelor's degree in engineering, civil engineering, or vocational training, or equivalent experience.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience working as a site manager and have therefore gained good knowledge of the construction process, particularly in civil engineering or foundation work. You have several years of experience in a leadership position within construction production and are used to leading and distributing tasks in projects, both for your own staff and subcontractors.

Furthermore, you have had primary responsibility for finances and timelines, as well as managed budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and other administration in projects. You have also been responsible for quality, environment, occupational safety, and security, and see the importance of ensuring these aspects throughout the project.

As the role involves a lot of customer contact, we see that you have experience in developing long-term customer relationships and identifying business opportunities. You enjoy working with upselling through good dialogues with the customer on-site and have a business-oriented approach.

For the position, knowledge of construction law and contract law, particularly AB 04 and ABT 06, is required, as well as a good understanding of project economics. It is advantageous if you have experience working in MAP for cost control. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, have good computer skills, and possess a B driver's license.

Experience working in the civil engineering or foundation industry is an advantage.

Additional Information

The position is full-time and a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Your placement will be at our office in Örebro. Start date according to agreement. This position will undergo background checks in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
