At Vätternvatten, you will be part of a unique infrastructure project in Sweden. At the same time, you will contribute to building something as essential to society as a secure drinking water supply. Today, we have 19 employees in pleasant and newly renovated premises in the old Shoe Factory on Pappersbruksallén in Örebro.

At Vätternvatten, we are currently working on investigating and designing a completely new drinking water supply system for large parts of the Örebro region. The project includes, among other things, intake in Vättern, rock tunnel, water treatment plant, transfer pipelines, and delivery stations. 

Your main responsibilities

You will work broadly in the project, both across the project and in the various sub-projects. In consultation with the project manager and sub-project leaders, you will support the project organization by driving, following up, and reporting on:

• economy

• quality

• planning

• requirements management

• contract and meeting administration

Qualifications

You have a relevant post-secondary education in construction, economics, or purchasing, or equivalent competence acquired in another way, and you have a good understanding of the project process and its various stages. Order and structure are fundamental to succeed in this role.

You have good knowledge of Excel and Word, as well as in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As a person, you are structured, driven, and analytical. You enjoy working towards deadlines and understand the importance of teamwork. You have the ability to lead others in the work that falls within your area of responsibility.

We are looking for someone with experience working as a project engineer in the construction and civil engineering sector from the contractor or client side, or another role deemed equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge in cost estimation and forecasting, scheduling, KMA, or contract management.

As this position may be placed in a security-classified role, employment will be preceded by a security clearance, and consent must be given for a possible background check. The security clearance currently consists of a background check and a security interview.

About Vätternvatten

Vätternvatten is a municipal company owned by Hallsberg, Kumla, Lekeberg, and Örebro municipalities. The goal is to be able to deliver drinking water to the residents of the owner municipalities by 2035. The company is currently in phase 1, which includes permit review and design.
