About the Position

As a Site Engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to handle a wide range of cases. The position involves being responsible for questions, agreements, and referrals regarding utilities in the municipality's properties (that are not public land), managing private roads, ordering and following up demolitions, driving certain new, extension, and renovation projects, mass management issues, quarry issues, electrical installations, and more.

Your role includes managing agreements and orders related to infrastructure and land use. This includes negotiating and ordering the operation of private roads, handling land lease agreements, and being responsible for demolition orders and follow-ups. You will also work with various permit and planning processes, such as excavation referrals, utility easements, and mass handling, ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Furthermore, you may conduct investigations, for example regarding quarries, and participate in and drive projects within the unit's areas of responsibility. An important part of the job is also to participate in working groups and contribute to the unit's collective development and work on various issues.

About the Workplace

The Property Unit, within the Land and Development Department, is a well-knit team that truly enjoys working together, bringing together many different skills, competencies, and personalities. We who work here deal with property management, strategic land issues, rental and lease issues, and property economic planning and follow-up. The unit takes great pride in the very good results in employee surveys that have been conducted.

The Land and Development Department is one of four departments in the Environmental and Urban Development Administration, with a total of about 190 employees. The Environmental and Urban Development Administration is located in Citypassagen (built in 2019) next to Örebro Central Station. The office has an activity-based working method with great individual flexibility and good opportunities for collaboration between the administrations within the community building area.

Requirements:

education in construction, civil engineering, contracting, or other education deemed equivalent and/or significant work experience
driver's license B

Meritorious:

experience as a purchaser and/or provider of technical operations
