Development Engineer with Project Responsibility

Are you a confident project manager with a genuine interest in development, processes, and renovation projects? Do you also enjoy being proactive in projects while collaborating with colleagues in various roles? If so, we look forward to receiving your application! As an employee with us at the Technical and Service Administration, you will have a meaningful job in a broad, socially important operation that affects all residents of Örebro every day!

About the Position

We at Skebäck Wastewater Treatment Plant are looking for a development engineer with project responsibility. Here you will have the opportunity to help create the resource plant of the future and contribute to an important community function in Örebro. Your knowledge and experience, together with your future colleagues, will play a central role in this work. Your closest colleagues will include unit managers, strategists, process, operations, and electrical engineers. In this role, you will use and develop your expertise in water and wastewater (VA), project management, and construction law. The projects you will lead and participate in may involve process development and new and renovation of properties that the operation is responsible for. You will be responsible for ensuring that VA solutions are designed with the right quality, at the right cost, and according to the schedule. The work involves broad contact areas and a central role in all phases of the projects – from planning to implementation and follow-up.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Establish project plans, lead projects through all phases, and ensure that the work follows the schedule and budget.
  • Procure consultants and contractors, call off according to framework agreements, and manage budgets, forecasts, and invoices.
  • Engage in dialogue with customers, consultants, contractors, and colleagues on technical, economic, and legal issues. Ensure that new facilities are integrated into existing systems.
  • Manage cases in the municipality's diary system, follow up forecasts, and contribute to experience exchange and monitoring within the VA operations.

About the Workplace

In the Water and Sewage operations, you will have colleagues in many different roles, with a variety of tasks. Together, we ensure that the residents of Örebro receive clean drinking water from the tap, take care of and treat wastewater, maintain and expand the pipeline network, and develop water supply for the future through, for example, our newly built water reservoir Lyra. Your workplace is at Skebäck Plant, Örebro's wastewater treatment plant, located between nature reserves and a fantastic environment for walks.

We are a dedicated team of about 30 employees, proud of our fine treatment plant and the work we do together. We belong to the Technical and Service Administration and are a unit under VA.
