The Community Management Department works with strategic physical planning, community planning, design and architecture, as well as land and development. The department is located in Folkets hus and has a close collaboration with the municipality's other administrations and companies, particularly with the Community and Service Administration, which ensures that practical work is carried out. A large part of the work is done with external actors and instances such as the County Administrative Board, the Transport Administration, the Region, and developers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a strategic project coordinator within the Community Management Unit, you play a key role in driving and coordinating projects that contribute to the municipality's overall goals for community development. You ensure that all parts of the project run smoothly by balancing strategic thinking with a solution-oriented and operational approach. Furthermore, you have many contact points to manage and you steer your projects towards clear goals, which ultimately means significant community benefits for us.

Your responsibilities in brief:

• Project management - Coordinate actors, define goals, and follow up on project implementation.
• Financial management - Plan, follow up, and report on finances.
• Strategic planning - Ensure that projects align with the municipality's goals.
• Communication - Convey status, create decision-making materials, and build relationships in both external and internal forums.

You report to the Development Manager and work closely with the Land and Development Manager and strategists in the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

To deliver and thrive in your role as a Strategic Project Coordinator, you need to:

• Have post-secondary education in project management or experience that the employer deems equivalent and relevant for the role.
• Be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Have several years of experience in project management and/or project control.
• Have financial understanding for budgeting, cost control, and business analysis.
• Be comfortable with and able to handle various types of IT systems.

It is advantageous if you have experience in:

• Politically governed operations
• Public procurement law (LOU)
