Your new workplace

Within the Health and Medical Care operations of the Care and Elderly Care Administration, approximately 270 employees work with the goal of offering safe, secure, and person-centered care. Our operations include special housing (SÄBO), home care in ordinary housing, and short-term units, with a total of 48 places.

To provide operation managers with close and operation-specific support, there are operation strategists attached to each operational area. As an operation strategist, you play a key role in supporting the operation manager's work with development, quality, follow-up, and collaboration. Together, you contribute to creating good conditions for high-quality health and medical care.

How you contribute in the role of Operation Strategist

The role is a support function for the operation manager. You are part of a group together with operation controllers who have a joint and overarching responsibility for the entire administration's planning and follow-up process. In this assignment, you and your colleagues work closely with the administration's staff and finance manager.

You will work with operation plans, quarterly reports, operation narratives, and internal control through dialogue and analysis, which are established at the administration, operation, and unit levels. You are responsible for ensuring that routines and guidelines are established and revised. Your duties include responsibility for administration-wide development work in line with the municipality's various initiatives, such as children's rights, the municipality's work against violence, and social vulnerability.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree of at least 180 higher education credits, for example as a nurse, social worker, or in another area that the employer considers equivalent and relevant for the position. You have a few years of current and practical experience in quality and development work, operation management, and follow-up within the operational area. You have good knowledge of the laws governing the administration's assignments, such as SoL, HSL, and LSS.

You have basic competence to work in various operation systems and good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. A B-driver's license is a requirement, as the position involves travel.

It is meritorious if you have the following experience or competence:

• Experience from the operational area.
• Experience from the public sector.
• Current experience in driving operation development at an overarching strategic level.
• Experience working with operation systems used by Sundsvall Municipality.

As an operation strategist, you are a secure and stable person with good self-insight and a professional approach. You are flexible and adapt easily to changes, while being structured and organizing your work efficiently. You work with a clear focus and have the ability to drive the work forward towards set goals. You have good collaboration skills, are receptive and communicative, and contribute to creating good relationships and a constructive collaborative climate.

About the recruitment process

You may have the opportunity to receive a relocation allowance of 30,000 SEK if you move to Västernorrland County in connection with the employment. Salary: Monthly/Hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting is applied.
