The Employment and Social Services Department organizes socially vital operations and works with a clear goal to help as many residents of Borås as possible achieve self-sufficiency. The department has approximately 240 employees and is responsible for and finances around 350 labor market political positions. We are looking for you who are curious and receptive and want to be part of Borås City's continued development in the labor market area.

Jobb Borås has approximately 40 employment caseworkers and four employment coordinators led by two unit managers. We target individuals aged 18-64 who are unemployed and in need of extra support to enter studies or work. Jobb Borås' operations include preparatory measures, work-oriented training, and labor market appointments. The goal of the operations is for the individual to become aware of their resources, increase their competence, get the opportunity for work trials or internships, apply for and get a job, or start studies.

As an employment caseworker, you are responsible for a number of participants whom you meet both individually and in groups. You lead group activities for individuals who initially have low work capacity and work through various measures to sustainably increase their work capacity and health. Together with participants, you create an individual implementation plan with the goal that they will move on to work-preparatory programs, work internships, studies, or employment.

An important part of your role is to collaborate with various internal and external partners, such as other departments within Borås City, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Region Västra Götaland, and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.

You have a bachelor's degree in a field that the employer considers relevant for the position. It is an advantage if you have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy/Training, Motivational Interviewing, Supported Employment, or Supported Education. A category B driver's license is required.

You have experience working with people who are to enter the open labor market. If you have worked within or collaborated with our partners the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Region Västra Götaland, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the Swedish Public Employment Service, or complementary actors, it is an advantage. We would like you to have experience working with individuals from criminal target groups, people with disabilities, or language-impaired groups.

You have a genuine interest in supporting people and build trusting relationships while maintaining a professional attitude. You are curious, take responsibility, and adapt easily to changed circumstances while keeping your cool in challenging situations. We are looking for you who thrive in a broad and dynamic role where you meet individuals with different needs. You are comfortable with not always being the specialist but have the ability to search for information, navigate between resources, and quickly absorb new knowledge. With a solution-focused attitude, good communication skills, and a structured approach, you are both receptive and proactive.
