We are now looking for a new colleague to join our diabetes team as one of our employees is moving on to a new assignment.

Our diabetes and endocrinology clinic currently has approximately 20 employees divided into four teams: endocrine/osteoporosis, diabetes, foot care, and an administrative team consisting of medical secretaries and administrators. The reception is staffed by Regionservice, and we also have doctors with long experience in the field. Here you become part of an engaged team that enjoys working together and cares about each other's well-being. Team spirit is important to us and permeates our daily work.

We are in an exciting phase of development where we continue to develop and improve our clinic with the patient at the center. Through the Red Cross, we work systematically with patient safety and continuous follow-up, and our common goals are a natural part of the operation's development.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

You always have an experienced colleague to turn to, and the goal is for you to gradually work independently with your own specialist clinic while collaborating closely with other professions in the team.

Patients with type 1 diabetes and patients with difficult-to-control type 2 diabetes primarily come to our diabetes clinic. The work is varied, and you meet patients with varying needs, many of whom use technical aids in their treatment. We also run a well-functioning specialist maternity care where we, together with midwives and doctors, follow pregnant patients with diabetes. We also have close cooperation with our multidisciplinary foot clinic and emergency clinic.

As a diabetes nurse, you also work with telephone advice via 1177, education and support for patients in self-care, as well as consulting services. You become involved in various diabetes networks and contribute actively to the development work of the operation. For us, it is important that you continue to develop in your professional role, and therefore we offer continuous competence development, including internal training and pump training.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You have further education in diabetes care, or alternatively ongoing education, comprising at least 15 higher education credits. Experience of working with type 1 diabetes and/or type 2 diabetes is meritorious.

We are looking for you who want to contribute to developing both the operation and your own way of working. You preferably have an interest in technical aids and digital working methods as well as a genuine interest in outpatient care and diabetes care. Furthermore, you work patient-centered, are unpretentious, and enjoy collaborating in a team where everyone's competence is utilized. You are flexible, responsible, and responsive to both patients and colleagues. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
