About the workplace

We are a total of 20 occupational therapists working across the Health and Care Administration's 19 care homes, the short-stay unit, and the 24-hour respite care service.

Job responsibilities

As an occupational therapist with us, you work to enable individuals to live as independent a life as possible. You share the overall rehabilitation responsibility with a physiotherapist. You are specifically responsible for P-ADL (Personal Activities of Daily Living) and I-ADL (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living) through assessment, training, evaluation, and follow-up, as well as the fitting and follow-up of technical aids based on the occupational therapist's prescription rights. We work with quality registers such as Senior Alert and BPSD.

The role also involves informing, instructing, and supervising staff, tenants, and students regarding rehabilitative and preventive measures.

In one of the positions, you will be included in the Resource Team, meaning the role is based at one of the smaller care homes where you will have the opportunity to support other colleagues with targeted interventions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with good knowledge of current legislation, such as HSL (Health and Medical Services Act) and SoL (Act of Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). You must have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Previous experience working in municipal primary care is meritorious. We view it as a particular plus to have good knowledge of Lifecare and to be confident in the prescription process. A B-class driver's license is also meritorious.

As an employee, you have a manager. You will have a main placement at one of our units but are employed within the operational area. The patient's needs always dictate the work, which may mean you work broadly and at other units when needs arise.
