Your role with us

In addition to the regular nursing assistant duties, your role as a specialist nursing assistant includes mentoring and guiding your colleagues in their daily work within your specialty. You are part of the work team and perform care and support tasks. You also take responsibility for strengthening knowledge and quality in nursing care by providing individual and group support and supervision. The work also involves keeping up to date with evidence-based knowledge, taking initiative, and sharing it with the work group. You are offered a varied job with nursing interventions, activities, and delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with a specialization in elderly health and illness, palliative care, emergency care, psychiatry, or dementia. The work requires that you have previous experience working with people with dementia, and we would appreciate it if you had experience with the BPSD assessment instrument. Experience in supervision and education is an advantage.

Since communication and documentation are important parts of the work, it is required that you are accustomed to working in IT-based systems and that you have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Furthermore, you have the ability to independently plan and structure the work while respecting decisions made. We want you to be careful, engaged, and responsible in the work you perform. The assignment requires that you are pedagogical, have good cooperation skills, and easily create trust and good relationships.

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and people who need functional support, as well as people who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the assistive devices center in Eastern Skåne.
