We are looking for more dedicated nursing assistants for Vevrehemmet

In the autumn, we will open our fourth department, which will be a short-term care unit.

We offer permanent full-time positions (100%) for nursing assistants. Working hours are scheduled either day/evening or evening/night. Everyone works every other weekend. For scheduled shifts, we have a favorable full-time equivalent of 36 hours and 20 minutes per week.

Vevrehemmet is located in the beautiful nature of Veberöd. There is parking available, and public transport connections are good with a bus stop just outside the door. The residence consists of 36 apartments, of which 10 are for people with cognitive impairment/dementia. We are now expanding with an additional 6 places, which will form a short-term care unit. The residence has a nice outdoor area, which residents and staff enjoy being in. The building also features a dining room and meeting point, which creates life and movement and provides opportunities for activities on site.

Our residence employs nursing assistants, coordinators, care assistants, administrators, unit managers, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Vevrehemmet provides person-centered care with a focus on the individual needs of our residents. Here we work closely together; "We help each other in the house" and together we create security and good care. We have low staff turnover, but are now looking for more colleagues due to the expansion of operations.

To succeed and thrive, we would appreciate it if you have experience working with cognitive impairment/dementia. Knowledge of BPSD work is also an advantage.

Good computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language are important for the role.

About the role and your tasks

As a nursing assistant, you are part of the multidisciplinary team. You contribute your specialist knowledge within your professional competence. Through close collaboration with the manager, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other team members, you help provide residents with meaningful lives where individual needs are at the center.

The work involves care work based on the resident's wishes and needs, as well as delegated tasks according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). As a nursing assistant, you will work using the digital system Epsilon, create implementation plans, document in Lifecare, evaluate, and contribute to maintaining good quality in operations. We monitor quality in national registers such as the BPSD register, SveDem, and Senior Alert. The role also includes being a contact person and potentially holding a specific area of responsibility.

An important part of the work is to collaborate in teams regarding the resident to achieve a good holistic view. We work based on the national values for elderly care, where the key words are self-determination, participation, and individual adaptation. Your goal is always to make everyday life meaningful for the residents.
