Helsingborg Hospital is one of Region Skåne's four emergency hospitals. Here, qualified emergency care is provided around the clock. The Operations Department operates 24/7, with approximately 70 percent of the work being emergency cases. We perform a wide range of emergency and elective procedures, both long and short surgeries. The Operations Department in Helsingborg is divided into three sections: orthopedics, surgery (including vascular surgery), and a section containing ENT, gynecology/obstetrics, urology, as well as dental and jaw patients. Anesthesia also staffs oral surgery, ophthalmic surgery, pediatric dentistry, as well as endoscopy and radiology examinations. As an Anesthesia Nurse with us, you are part of a work team that rotates between the different sections at regular intervals.

We are just over 130 employees distributed among Anesthesia Nurses, Scrub Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Anesthesiologists, and Operating Room Technicians. Our operational area also includes the Day Surgery Department, Recovery Unit/ICU/HDU, Sterile Processing Department, and Ängelholm's Operations Department.

Job Description

We now welcome you who are looking for a varied and stimulating job where you will have a significant role in the collaboration with your colleagues in the operating team!

As an Anesthesia Nurse, you work with pre- and perioperative nursing, medical technology, and nursing documentation. You work with one patient at a time and are responsible for the anesthesia in collaboration with an anesthesiologist, as well as participating in pre- and post-operative work. With your competence and experience, you make our patients feel safe both before and during surgery. As an employee and Anesthesia Nurse in the team, you are an important piece of the puzzle in the strive to, together with other employees, provide the patient with the best possible care where the patient feels well taken care of.

Here, you plan your shifts according to a business-adapted preference schedule. The work involves day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. We have a working time model based on the number of hours worked during inconvenient working hours, and when working during inconvenient hours, you receive a working time reduction.

The introduction is adapted individually based on your previous experience, and during the introduction, you work during the day. On the department, we offer four development days per year, annual CPR training, and opportunities for trauma training.

Qualifications

You who apply are a registered nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare and have specialized education in anesthesia care. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. It is meritorious if you have experience from working on an operations department with a mixed assignment of elective and emergency activities. Furthermore, we would like you to have good knowledge of the journal systems Orbit and Melior.
