About Us

Närhälsan Karlsborg rehabilitation clinic is now looking for a licensed occupational therapist who wants to become part of the team at the clinic. We are a small work group consisting of physiotherapists and occupational therapists who collaborate closely and believe it is important to have fun at work. In the same building as the rehabilitation clinic, there is also Närhälsan's health center, which benefits the collaboration. Our clinic is located close to public transport.

Karlsborg is located by Lake Vättern in a beautiful landscape with exciting nature and several lakes, which provides good conditions for an active leisure time with sports and outdoor activities. There are plenty of beautiful walking areas, hiking trails, and jogging paths, and the municipality actively invests in culture for both young and old. The nearest larger city is Skövde, and there is a well-developed bus connection between the towns. About the Job

Your tasks are to assess and treat patients of all ages. Common conditions among patients you encounter as an occupational therapist are: Reduced hand function, pain, neurology, cognitive impairment, and mental ill health. The work also includes prescribing assistive devices and certificates for housing adaptations. Together with the patient, a personal rehabilitation plan is created.

The work is carried out at the clinic, digitally, and via home visits. Some work may be possible to perform remotely. Patient treatment takes place both individually and in groups.

The work involves close collaboration with other professions, both at your own clinic and with other collaborating partners. You and your colleagues, together with the manager, are responsible for the development of the operations in a continuous improvement process.

About You

You are a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previous experience in the profession and primary care, it is meritorious, but we also welcome you if you are newly graduated. If you have relevant further education, that is also meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is sensitive, has good communication skills, and can identify individuals' unique needs as you meet many different people. Furthermore, you see collaboration with colleagues and other partners as a natural and important part of the work, which you perform with commitment and professionalism. You can plan your work in an efficient and organized manner based on the operations' goals. Since the workload varies and unforeseen events may occur, we see that you are flexible and independent.

The position is a fixed-term temporary position of just over one year, with the possibility of extension.

Travel in the service occurs. A B driver's license is required.

About the Recruitment Process

Selection takes place in two steps. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a telephone interview. Thereafter, the hiring manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them to an interview at the clinic.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalized answers – this so that we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
