About the position

As a Psychiatric Nurse in Skara Municipality, you will work with people, young adults, and the elderly who need support and treatment for mental health issues. Your role is central in assessing and implementing care measures in close collaboration with colleagues within healthcare and social care, as well as other stakeholders.

Your tasks may include:

• Nursing assessments and the creation of individual care plans.

OAS Responsibilities

• Medication management and follow-up.
• Training nursing staff.
• Delegation and supervision of nursing staff in day activities.
• Collaboration with other healthcare providers, e.g., primary care, specialized psychiatry, and social services.
• Collaboration with the group activities of the Support for Relatives unit.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a specialist nurse degree with a focus on psychiatric care or equivalent competence.
• Has experience working in psychiatric care.
• Is confident in your professional role and has a good ability to build trusting relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
• Has a genuine interest in mental health and a willingness to work from a person-centered approach.
• Is flexible, responsible, and has good collaboration skills.
