Job Description

As an assistant nurse with us, you will have the opportunity to influence the planning of interventions for your assigned care recipients. This entails clear responsibility and significant influence over the planning, implementation, and follow-up of care together with the care recipient. This working method allows you to fully utilize your competence and participate in shaping interventions based on the individual's needs, wishes, and daily life.

The work is based on person-centered care and continuity. At the same time, we are developing collaboration with other professions such as nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to create conditions for safe and high-quality care, and to give you, as an assistant nurse, the opportunity to influence your work and develop in your professional role.

In the home care service, we are on a journey of development. We are looking for you who want to contribute to this development, but also who want to develop in your professional role. Here, we have close leadership with two managers, two coordinators, and a specialist assistant nurse who support the operations in everyday life and create conditions for clear, present, and accessible support and leadership.

As an assistant nurse with us, you are a key person in the care recipient's daily life and nursing. The work is varied and meaningful, focusing on providing high-quality care while contributing to the overall operations.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Support in the daily lives of care recipients, such as personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and mobility.
• Delegated health and medical care tasks, such as medication management, insulin administration, and wound dressing.
• Promoting and motivating an active and meaningful daily life through social interaction and activities.
• Documentation and recording of important events.
• Collaboration with colleagues and other professions to create safe and well-functioning care.

We work days, evenings, and weekends to provide high-quality care to our recipients. Your placement will be in one of our four home care districts: Floda, Gråbo, Lerum Söder, and Lerum Norr. If needed, work and placement may also take place in our other home care districts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are engaged, responsible, and flexible, with a genuine interest in working with people. You treat both care recipients and colleagues with respect and contribute to security in daily life.

You are educated as an assistant nurse, and it is meritorious if you have further educated yourself in healthcare and social care at a post-secondary level. Experience with delegated medical tasks is also meritorious. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to perform both oral and written tasks.

You work in a structured manner, are solution-oriented, and have the ability to adapt to changes in work. By being sensitive to the needs of care recipients, you contribute to good quality in care and to good collaboration in the work group.

You handle documentation and delegated medical tasks carefully and on time. At the same time, you have a desire to develop and see learning as a natural part of your work.

Before an employment offer can be given, a clean extract from the Police Authority's criminal record register is required, as well as presentation of a national ID card, passport, or alternatively a work permit. We may also request proof of protected professional title (assistant nurse) before employment.
