What does a Care Assistant in Home Care do? Quite a lot! The tasks are varied and may include, among other things:

• Personal care and support in daily routines, such as hygiene and meals.
• Social support through presence and activities that promote health and well-being.
• Support in care and nursing interventions in collaboration with colleagues and licensed staff.
• Observations of changes in the user's health and contact with responsible staff when necessary.
• Documentation and work based on implementation plans.

Of course, we offer a thorough introduction tailored to your own prerequisites. You will have time to learn the job step by step, shadow experienced colleagues, receive clear routines, and have the opportunity to ask questions. Please note that cleaning services in clients' homes in Partille Municipality are performed by an external service company.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Category B driver's license.

Merits:

• Previous experience working in home care or another area within elderly care.

You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Since a lot of exciting things are happening in elderly care, we also want you to be someone who views change positively, has an easy time absorbing new information and new ways of working, and shares both successes and setbacks – that is how we get better and develop! Good to know

To be invited to an interview, a passing grade in Swedish 1 at the upper secondary level or equivalent must be presented. If this is missing, you will be asked to take a digital language test.

Upon an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register must be presented. For this position, the extract is intended for work in the home with elderly persons.

Your new workplace

The Home Care service belongs to the Care and Nursing Administration, Elderly Care Department, and has 145 employees. We have three home care areas: Centrum, Björndammen, and Sävedalen. Regardless of the area, you will become part of a warm, competent, and solution-focused team where we work closely with colleagues and users.

Working hours vary between day and evening as well as weekends. Common working hours are 07:00–15:30, 07:00–14:00, 14:00–22:30, 15:30–22:30. We apply a 37-hour week for our staff working days and evenings.
