The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating the life-changing difference for vulnerable youth? Then the job as a Treatment Coordinator at SiS is a meaningful role!

The starting point in our treatment work is to motivate people to new and less destructive ways of living. You work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined competence, you have the opportunity to achieve good results. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You conduct treatment sessions and have special responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in treatment. You collaborate with various functions regarding mapping, establishing, and following up on treatment plans. The role of Treatment Coordinator also includes extra responsibility for supervising new employees and interns. An important common task for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that security at the institution is maintained according to routines. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is the key to life-changing change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, are empathetic, and can build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as Treatment Coordinator, you will have individual responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan as well as responsibility on the ward that requires experience and the ability to coordinate the work. You need to be good at planning and structuring your work, able to work independently, and take initiative. Since the treatment work is documented and discussed with several different actors, high demands are placed on good Swedish in both speech and writing.

You must also have:

• Appropriate university education, e.g., social worker, social pedagogue, or other care/behavioral science education, or alternatively post-secondary education such as treatment pedagogue, with solid experience in program activities.
• Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually and/or in groups.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.
• Category B driver's license

Employment:

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. Number of positions: 1 Treatment Coordinator. Interviews take place continuously during the recruitment process.
