We are looking for a counselor with basic psychotherapy training with a systemic orientation for our clinic. Could that be you?

The Role of Counselor

You will work both as a counselor and therapist, providing treatment interventions for patients individually, in groups, as well as together with relatives and other important people in the patient's network. The work includes both psychosocial support and therapeutic interventions focused on the patient's recovery, well-being, and development.

At the clinic, we work in interdisciplinary teams where collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You will have close cooperation with doctors, psychologists, nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, healthcare administrators, peer support staff, and other psychotherapists to ensure cohesive and person-centered care.

Your Future Workplace

At the Psychiatry Clinic Höglandet, we are approximately 190 employees. Partly at the Psychiatry House in Eksjö, which houses the outpatient clinic, referral and assessment unit, emergency clinic, as well as 24 care beds distributed across two care wards. Partly, the clinic has outpatient clinics in Eksjö, Nässjö, Tranås, and Vetlanda. The clinic's resources are distributed so that we take into account both the clinic perspective and county-wide psychiatric care processes. We participate in the development and implementation of joint care programs and psychiatric care processes in the region.

The psychiatric clinic in Vetlanda has recently become HBTQI-certified, and it is important to us that we are an inclusive clinic and workplace where people can be who they are. We also work based on the Safe Wards values, where good treatment is central. We believe in participation, kindness, and meeting the patient where they are. At the psychiatric clinic in Vetlanda, we have around 1,300 patients in need of specialized psychiatric care.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker with (step 1 competence) basic psychotherapy training with a systemic or interpersonal orientation. Experience working as a counselor and in treatment work is meritorious.

You have a high degree of personal maturity and are secure, stable, and professional in your interactions with other people. You have good self-awareness and the ability to adapt your approach based on the situation and individual.

We value that you can work independently and have the courage to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with colleagues in an interdisciplinary team.

You maintain calm and a realistic perspective even in pressured situations, have the ability to prioritize and focus on what is important. Furthermore, you have a well-developed empathetic ability and can put yourself in other people's situations without taking over their feelings. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
