Do you want to help create a meaningful and developmental leisure time for young people in Hässleholm Municipality? We are looking for a Youth Coach/Leisure Center Leader for Ung Fritid – a operation where participation, creativity, and community are at the center.

As a Youth Coach, you plan and carry out activities together with our young visitors and other employees. The goal is to strengthen the social and personal development of children and young people, and to create safe, inclusive environments where everyone feels welcome. We work actively with gender equality, influence, and young people's own initiatives.

The tasks are varied and involve both independent work and teamwork. Regardless of the activity, you play a central role in creating positive experiences at our meeting places.

We have one permanent position starting August 10th, or as agreed.

Hässleholm Municipality wants to utilize your full competence and offers full-time employment, but you have the option to choose a 75% position. Ung Fritid currently consists of four operations, and the placement may vary depending on needs. Working hours are scheduled during both day and evening times, and some weekend work may occur. It is important that you are prepared to work at times when children and young people have their leisure time.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have:

• A leisure center leader education or equivalent post-secondary adequate education.
• Experience working at a youth center or similar meeting place for young people.
• Good ability to motivate, guide, and understand young people in Swedish, both in dialogues and in text.

It is meritorious if you have experience in health-promoting work, in working with young people's influence and participation, and experience with KEKS. A B-driver's license for a car with manual transmission is also meritorious.

You are a secure, stable, and engaged adult who can meet young people where they are. With a coaching and motivating approach, you inspire them to develop and take the next step.

You are also relationship-building, team-oriented, and professional in your approach – both towards young people, colleagues, and partners. A professional way of working means being a secure, respectful, and clear adult who listens, sets boundaries, and strengthens young people's participation, while collaborating constructively, communicating clearly, and acting with loyalty and integrity to contribute to a positive and responsible work environment.

Ung Fritid is a unit within the Culture and Leisure Administration where the youth center operations are included. The youth centers target young people aged 10-19, and events and activities of various kinds are created here during both day and evening hours.
