Do you want to help build the security team of the future for children and families? We are looking for four social workers who want to make a real difference – together. How do we create security for children when anxiety is at its highest? These are the questions our new security team will work with every day!

About the workplace

In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society. We are in the process of shaping ourselves after the new social services, focusing on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, interventions and services, and housing.

Security planning according to Signs of Safety is a structured approach used in families where the concern for the child's situation is so great that a placement outside the home is or risks becoming current. Together with the child, the family, and their network, a security plan is developed that creates the conditions for the child to be safe and secure. Based on the different roles of the team and the network, close and intensive work is carried out together to build sustainable changes for the child and the family.

Job responsibilities

The security team is a new initiative within the Social Services Department in Helsingborg. The team's mission is to work with security planning according to Signs of Safety and to conduct intensive change work together with the family and their network.

The assignment involves working with security planning and change work in our most complex cases using various specialist competencies, and supporting in the areas that the family and network need. In the work, there are no ready-made solutions; instead, the process is developed together with the family, the network, and the social services' knowledge of what is needed to create sustainable security and safety for the child.

Since the team is under construction, you also have a unique opportunity to influence the development of your work. Together we develop the team's structure, working methods, and collaboration with other operations in the department.

Qualifications

We are looking for different experiences

We are looking for four people who complement each other. To be the one primarily responsible for authority exercises, you need to be a trained social worker and have at least three years of experience in authority exercises within child and youth services. For the part of the assignment that has a therapeutic direction, there is no requirement for experience in authority exercises, but you need to be a trained social worker.

We would like to see these different competence profiles:

Perhaps you work today as a social secretary and want to continue working close to authority exercises, where you get to deepen your work in security assessments, risk analyses, and working closely and intensively together with families and their networks.

Or perhaps you have experience of family treatment, open care, or other therapeutic work and want to use that competence in an assignment where you work close to families, lead security planning, and strengthen the network's ability to create security for children.

Interview dates are planned during the period August 3 to 13. Ongoing selection will take place during the advertising period. If you become relevant for the position, it is good if you can participate in the department's training in Signs of Safety/security planning which is carried out on Sept 16-17, Sept 30, Oct 1, and Oct 13-14.

The Authority Business Area makes some adjustments to its existing organization which means that some parts need to be formally decided in collaboration with the unions before the decision can be implemented. For this reason, the recruitment for this position depends on us being able to proceed according to the proposal for decision.
