About the Workplace
Do you want to help create the conditions to provide all children and young people in the City of Gothenburg with an equal opportunity for artistic, personal, and social development? Are you a structured and flexible team player who thrives working both operationally and strategically? Then this is the job for you!
The Culture School's Business Development Unit is a team consisting of development leaders and business developers who work with the systematic quality work, long-term development work, and planning and implementation of major events at the Culture School. We are now looking for a temporary Development Leader based in our work organization, with a focus on the administrative work of the Culture School.
At Gothenburg Culture School, we offer children and young people aged 6-19 a broad range of activities within visual arts, dance, theater, film, and music. We offer both long and short courses as well as open activities during the children's free time in the evenings, weekends, and holidays. Part of our work takes place in close collaboration with schools, leisure centers, and meeting places for young people.
As a Development Leader, you will among other things work with:
- Process Facilitation and Business Development: Facilitate internal teams, create conditions for common working methods to increase equality and quality across the city.
- System Administration and Support (SpeedAdmin Play): Work operationally with existing functions and system development, and serve as first-line support for employees.
- Unit-wide Administration: Archivist duties, document management, administration of the Culture School's digital collaboration spaces, and staffing the Culture School's answer phone during intensive periods.
The assignment varies throughout the year and consists of periods of administrative peaks in the operations. This means that your working hours may also be scheduled for evenings and weekends depending on operational needs. During quieter periods, there is an opportunity to compensate with flexible leave.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in pedagogy, public administration, or equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the position.
- Experience in process facilitation and project management, or similar experience relevant to the position.
- Experience working within a culture school and/or experience working with children and young people.
- Digital competence and experience working administratively in various IT systems.
Merits for the position include:
- Experience working in the Culture School's business system SpeedAdmin Play.
- B-driver's license, and comfort driving smaller trucks/vans.
- Experience working in public administration and/or a large and complex organization.
Personal Competencies
By listening, showing interest, and respect, you work well with others. You are structured and independent in that you have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the framework of your assignment. At the same time, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You take responsibility for your own and joint tasks, drive the work forward, ensure it is completed on time, and follow up on results.
You convey information and contribute to development in a clear manner, both orally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets through. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.
Since you will switch between operationally close and more strategic tasks, this requires flexibility. You adapt naturally based on how the work develops, and you can quickly change your approach and working methods, seeing opportunities in changes.
We warmly welcome your application!
