Do you want to contribute to developing the Swedish Tax Agency's occupational health and safety work while simultaneously benefiting society? We are looking for an HR Specialist in Occupational Health and Safety who wants to make a difference – in everyday life, in change, and when it really matters. In this role, you will combine strategic and operational work by driving development, creating sustainable structures, and supporting managers and operations in translating requirements, knowledge, and care into a secure and sustainable working environment. Join us and make society possible!

About the job

As an HR Specialist in Occupational Health and Safety, you work with governance and support within the occupational health and safety area. You contribute to creating common working methods and efficient processes for, among other things, our systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM) and organizational and social occupational health and safety work (OSA), ensuring it functions practically in a large and complex organization.

You will, among other things:

  • develop, manage, and embed governance, routines, and support related to the entire occupational health and safety area, with a focus on SAM and OSA
  • serve as a qualified support to managers and HR colleagues on occupational health and safety issues, both proactively and when the situation requires secure counseling
  • contribute to investigations and preventive work related to, for example, bullying and harassment, and strengthen common working methods
  • plan and implement training initiatives, guidance, and communication so that more people can easily do the right thing
  • collaborate with safety organizations and employee organizations and contribute to cross-agency forums related to the occupational health and safety area.

You naturally switch between strategic questions about how we should move forward and operational needs in everyday life, where you contribute to finding solutions here and now. In the role, you have many contact points and move confidently in different contexts. You also handle situations where the pace is high and the situation may feel pressurized, with stability and professionalism. Through your approach, you create trust, get people on board, and drive issues all the way to completion.

You belong to the Employer Unit on the HR Department with just over 50 employees and are located in Malmö, Gothenburg, or Sundbyberg.

We have flexible working hours, and for us, balance between work and leisure is a given.

About you

To do a good job and thrive with us at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be receptive, think new thoughts, and take responsibility. In the work, good judgment and understanding of legal certainty and security are important. You must also live up to our employee policy. You work with a focus on results, quality, and a professional approach. You can translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical action and contribute to working methods that work in everyday life. You build relationships, promote learning, and create consensus in collaboration with others. You are solution-oriented and get things done, while also valuing structure and working to ensure that occupational health and safety issues become a natural part of operations.

In this job, you should:

  • have a very good ability to work independently, which means you plan and drive your work forward to achieve good results
  • have a good ability to collaborate with others and be helpful, which means you are receptive to others' views and take responsibility for the implementation of joint tasks
  • take initiative, think new thoughts, and take a stand on issues
  • be able to explain complex issues in a pedagogical way and adapt your message to different target groups to create understanding
  • analyze and break down complex issues, draw conclusions, and develop solutions
  • express yourself very well in speech and writing
  • be able to analyze information flows, see connections, and make decisions.

You must also have:

  • a university or college education of at least 120 credits/180 ECTS with a relevant focus (e.g., personnel science, behavioral science, law) or other current, qualified, and relevant work experience/education for the position that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • several years of current and relevant experience of qualified work within the occupational health and safety area, including systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM) and organizational and social occupational health and safety (OSA)
  • broad HR experience with a clear focus on occupational health and safety, as well as experience of working integrated with occupational health and safety, leadership, and organizational culture
  • experience of occupational health and safety work in change with a focus on collaboration, learning, and sustainable organizations.

It is desirable that you have experience of similar work from a government agency.
