The Social Services Administration's mission is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has equal opportunities in life. The Workplace

At the Dependency and Adult Unit, you will become part of a competent and dedicated team consisting of addiction pedagogues, social secretaries, and therapists. The unit comprises an authority section, a treatment section, collective housing, low-threshold housing for individuals with ongoing dependency issues, and our "Housing First" operation. We place great emphasis on motivational and change work, and we are proud of our well-developed care chain for people with dependency issues. We work from a holistic and family perspective with the individual in focus. Your placement will be in the work group responsible for our social support in Housing First, private homes, collective housing, and low-threshold housing.

We invest in competence development in line with national guidelines for addiction treatment. MI (Motivational Interviewing) and Signs of Safety are used as common methods within the Individual and Family Care department.

Change work is ongoing at the unit based on the co-morbidity reform and the new Social Services Act.

Communication opportunities are good; the workplace is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus and regional train station.

Responsibilities

You will work with social support and supervision for adults with harmful use and addiction. The work includes, among other things, motivational work, social skills training, and more practical tasks. A key responsibility is guiding your clients on how society functions and is structured. Client work is primarily conducted individually but may also take place in groups. A large part of the work is carried out in our "Housing First" operation, which also includes a communal space. Additionally, you provide social support in clients' private homes and at low-threshold housing. You work with both individuals with ongoing harmful use/addiction and those in recovery. You will be part of a team and work in close collaboration with other colleagues within the unit. Collaboration with external actors such as the municipality's employment administration, LARO clinic, and healthcare services is also a key part of the job. The work is varied and can sometimes be emotionally demanding. Client work is conducted on behalf of the social secretary, for whom you are responsible for the execution of the intervention. Documentation in the Lifecare system is included.

Qualifications

We are looking for a curious, positive, and engaged employee who finds it easy to build contact and sustainable relationships with all kinds of people. You need experience working with motivational and support-oriented tasks with individuals in ongoing harmful use as well as those recovering from addiction. Your educational background should be post-secondary with a focus on harmful use/addiction, such as social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or social worker. Additional suitable education includes basic training in MI, relapse prevention, or other methods focused on harmful use and addiction. It is an advantage if you are familiar with and have experience working with the "Housing First" method.

A respectful, low-affective, and personal approach is important in our work. Your ability to set boundaries must be strong. As an addiction pedagogue, you must be able to work both independently and in a team. You need to be structured and have an aptitude for planning and organizing your work. Furthermore, you need strong communication skills and be pedagogical, proactive, and creative. In the role of addiction pedagogue, good judgment, personal maturity, and endurance are required. Some computer proficiency and documentation experience are required. You need a good understanding of how society is structured and functions to guide those you work with. You are expected to contribute to the unit's development and change work.

A Class B driver's license is required.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

A clean criminal record extract must be presented before an employment offer is made.
