About the workplace

In the city, the Social Services Administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

We are organized with a focus on creating a more accessible social services system based on three main areas: authority, interventions and services, and housing. We believe in strengthening what works and finding solutions together with the families' own networks. The administration is currently undergoing a comprehensive implementation of Signs of Safety, which will permeate future work in all parts of the administration.

As a Family Therapist, you work within Interventions and Services providing outpatient interventions for children and young people aged 0–20 and their families. The operations are organized into children's and youth teams using a systemic approach. You will be part of an experienced team where the work is characterized by close collaboration, tailored interventions, and a focus on long-term change.

Responsibilities

As a Family Therapist in the FRI-team, you work with intensive, needs-adapted interventions for families with extensive support needs. The goal is to strengthen parenting skills so that children can remain at home. You work closely with a few families with frequent contact, often in the home environment. The work includes two evenings per week and one Saturday (10:00-15:00) per month, followed by a Monday off. The work culture is characterized by collaboration, engagement, and a focus on sustainable change.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Family Therapist, you need to have:

• A degree in Social Work or another university-level education that the employer deems equivalent
• Several years of experience in change work within social services, focusing on children, young people, and families
• Ability and willingness to work both practically and conversationally with families
• Good experience with documentation, preferably in Journal Digital
• Category B driver's license and experience driving a car

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with domestic violence, interaction and attachment, as well as with people with reduced cognitive abilities
• Education and experience in the Marte Meo method

You also need to be able to:

• Work in environments where animals are present, as home visits are a natural part of the work
• Work varied hours: daytime (07:00–15:30), evening time (11:00–20:00) as well as one Saturday per month (10:00–15:00), followed by a Monday off and an earlier finish on the preceding Friday
