Job Description

Do you want to be part of creating life-changing change for vulnerable people? Then the role of Treatment Pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a Treatment Pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal certainty, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines and help ensure that daily life flows smoothly with school attendance, cleaning, cooking, etc. Contact person responsibilities are also part of your duties. The work may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Qualifications

To succeed in your work, you have a solid, positive view of humanity. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's core values, being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are secure in yourself and easily build relationships with young people as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You cooperate well with others and can handle conflicts constructively.

You must also have:

  • At least a degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or education from a university that we assess as equivalent

  • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction care, youth care, young girls, etc.)
