We are now looking for a crafts teacher for Vindelälvsskolan in Sorsele Municipality. For this position, we use continuous selection, which means the position may be filled earlier.

Responsibilities:

As a textile teacher, you are responsible for planning and conducting creative and student-active teaching in textile crafts for grades 3–9. You develop materials and tasks adapted to different needs, assess students' work, and give constructive feedback. You create a safe and inclusive learning environment, collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the crafts subject, and participate in the school's development work. The work involves meeting students with varying prerequisites through a formative approach, strengthening their entrepreneurial skills, and encouraging them to try, reconsider, and implement their own ideas. The position may also include shared mentorship and potentially be combined with other part-time positions in the municipality.

You are passionate about promoting students' creativity and practical skills and create a positive, supportive learning environment where everyone feels safe. As a good communicator, you collaborate well with students, colleagues, and guardians, and you use your creativity and engagement to share your knowledge in textile crafts. In teaching, you are responsible, clear, and structured, while maintaining a positive and solution-focused attitude. You are inspired by young people's curiosity and engagement and contribute to active and meaningful learning for every student.

Competence/qualifications - requirements:

To become part of our dedicated team at Vindelälvsskolan, we are looking for you who have relevant education in textile crafts, design, or equivalent, along with teacher certification for teaching up to grade 9. Your experience in teaching textiles allows you to inspire and motivate students in their creative processes, and your pedagogical ability helps you meet different learning styles and adapt teaching to each student's needs. Your ability to awaken the desire to create and learn is an important part of our work in offering high-quality education. It is also meritorious if you have training to supervise teacher students or competence in NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), as this further strengthens our joint ability to meet all students in the best possible way. If you are not formally qualified, your experience and knowledge may still meet our requirements for this interim position.

Duration/working hours:

Interim position. Part-time 50%. The position grade may potentially be expanded with another assignment if necessary decisions are made.

Our teacher will be on leave around week 40, and we plan for you to run parallel for two to three weeks. The interim position therefore extends from 2026-09-07 to 2027-06-17.

Salary:

According to agreement. The municipality applies individual salary setting.
