The municipality has a school that encompasses all school levels from preschool class to adult education. We have many skilled educators but now need reinforcement. Nilaskolan has many interesting development projects such as entrepreneurial learning and language- and knowledge-developing working methods. We work with staff training and have pedagogical afternoons set aside for this. Our IT structure is fully developed with one-to-one devices for all students in grades 4 to 9. There is good access to learning tablets and computers for younger ages. Malå offers fantastic nature both in summer and winter. Sports hall, ice rink, ski tracks, and ski slope within a 3-minute walk from the school and center.

Do you want to work in a school where every student is seen and where genuine collaboration is part of everyday life? Nilaskolan is Malå Municipality's only school, and here all education from preschool class to adult education is gathered. Nilaskolan is a small school with high staff density, small student groups, and a strong focus on collegial learning. Here, teachers work close to each other and close to the students, in an environment characterized by engagement, security, and shared responsibility for the quality of teaching. We are now looking for a special needs teacher/special educator who wants to develop our school together with us.

Job Responsibilities

As a special needs teacher/special educator, you are responsible for challenging students to optimal learning based on their individual prerequisites.

You plan, implement, and follow up on the work in close collaboration with the teachers. You document students' development in the form of, for example, pedagogical mapping and action plans. This means you will support teachers in how they can structure their teaching so that education becomes accessible, inclusive, and creates participation for all students. You systematically reflect on and evaluate the practical work individually and together with others.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher as well as a special educator/special needs teacher. You should be knowledgeable, engaged, creative, and see the benefits of collaborating with colleagues to create good conditions for students' development and learning. You will be part of our combined student health team and work with promoting, preventive, and remedial work with staff and students. The combined student health team works with staff and students from preschool class to upper secondary school. It is an advantage if you have experience working at an adapted primary school. Conditions

Permanent position with holiday service if necessary decisions are made, probationary employment may become relevant.
