Ersängsskolan is located in Östra Ersboda and is a multicultural preschool to year 9 school (F–9). There are approximately 400 students in total at the school. It also includes a special needs school focusing on subject areas for grades 1–6, as well as resource classes for the entire municipality. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries, and nearby you will find a football field and an adventure playground.

We are now looking for a wood and textile crafts teacher for teaching in grades 3–9!

Employment Information

The position is a permanent, full-time employment starting 2026-08-10.

Your Responsibilities

You will teach our students in grades 3–9 in wood and textile crafts. As a crafts teacher with us, you have overall responsibility for crafts education from the early school years up to lower secondary school. You adapt your pedagogy to the students' age and maturity, creating a safe and inspiring environment in the crafts room.

In collaboration with the work team and colleagues, you are responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work with the curriculum and municipal goals as guidelines. Contact and cooperation with parents is an important part of the work.

About You

You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and context for all students. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary the teaching based on the students' needs. You share your knowledge and experiences to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teacher's role is to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Requirements

• Trained primary school teacher with eligibility in wood and textile crafts
• Has/have applied for teacher certification
• Experience in crafts teaching
• Unimpeded proficiency in the Swedish language in speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of English
• Valid extract from the criminal record register
