Do you want to contribute to safe, dignified, and individualized elderly care? We are now looking for two dedicated care assistants for Antuna, our special housing facility in Aneby Municipality. Antuna has six care units, one of which is a dementia unit. They are distributed over two floors with three units per floor. Each unit has 7-8 apartments.

Job Responsibilities

As a care assistant, you work based on the individual's needs and conditions. The role involves meeting both basic and specific care and nursing needs, including social, cultural, physical, and psychological aspects. In our work, we uphold each individual's right to self-determination, participation, integrity, and the right to a dignified life with high quality of life.

You work closely with our elderly residents and support them in their daily lives through person-centered care and nursing. In addition to nursing interventions, the role includes:

• Documentation and record keeping
• Case management
• Creating and following up on implementation plans
• Collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and other professions

Delegation of medication management may be included in the position.

The role of care assistant involves working on different wards, based from a regular ward. Placement can be on a ward with a somatic focus or on a ward with a dementia focus. The work follows a basic schedule with day, evening, and weekend shifts. The employment rate is approximately 90%.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a care assistant or have other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have further education in areas such as:

• Dementia care
• Psychiatry
• Palliative care

Previous experience from care and nursing work is meritorious but not a requirement.
