We are currently seeking a Medically Responsible Nurse (MAS) who wishes to lead, develop, and ensure the quality of municipal healthcare through close collaboration with social services and external partners.

The position of Medically Responsible Nurse (MAS) belongs to the administration of the Social Services Department and reports directly to the Director of Social Services. The other seven employees in the administration are IT Coordinator, Socially Responsible Coordinator (SAS), Investigator, Administrative Officer, and Business Developer. The municipality is currently recruiting a Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR).

Job Responsibilities

As MAS, you have overall responsibility for quality and patient safety within municipal healthcare in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).

You are responsible for ensuring that care is provided with high quality and patient safety, and that laws, regulations, and guidelines are followed. The role involves both strategic development work and close collaboration with operations.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• responsibility for quality and patient safety within the municipality's healthcare
• develop, follow up, and ensure the quality of routines and processes
• support managers and operations in matters concerning healthcare
• follow up on deviations, Lex Maria, and self-inspections
• participate in and develop systematic quality work
• collaborate with the region, health centers, and other actors
• contribute to the municipality's transition to more nearby, preventive, and person-centered care and support
• work closely with operations that are largely governed by the Social Services Act, such as elderly care, disability services, and individual and family services

The role involves many contact surfaces and close cooperation with operation managers, unit managers, licensed personnel, and other key functions within the municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a registered nurse
• have experience working in healthcare
• have good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the field
• express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• have a good ability to work independently, structured, and strategically

Merits:

• have experience working as an MAS or in another strategic leadership function
• are well acquainted with municipal healthcare
• have experience collaborating between healthcare and operations mainly governed by the Social Services Act
• have experience with systematic quality work and patient safety work
• have experience with development and change work

You are confident, clear, and unpretentious in your leadership and thrive in a role where collaboration and development are in focus.

You have a good ability to create trusting relationships, drive improvement work, and translate legislation and requirements into practical operational support. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to combine a strategic perspective with an understanding of daily operations.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
