At the Radiology Clinic in Jönköping, we are now offering a specialization in mammography for the first time, with the possibility of a combined role in thyroid diagnostics. The Role of Sonographer

As a sonographer with us, you will have a unique role focused on mammography diagnostics. Among other things, you will:

• Perform ultrasound examinations for diagnostic purposes and provisionally sign off on results.
• Participate in biopsies, punctures, and similar minor interventions.
• Collaborate closely with breast surgeons, oncologists, and pathologists in a well-functioning breast care process.
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences to ensure the best possible care for patients.

There is also a need for a sonographer for thyroid investigations within the region. If you are interested in this, please state it in your application so we can have a specific dialogue regarding it.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon. Your introduction will be tailored to your previous experience and takes place in close collaboration with our experienced specialists.

Your Future Workplace

Radiology is a county-wide 24/7 clinic with approximately 380 employees located at the county's three hospitals: Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, Högland Hospital in Eksjö, and Värnamo Hospital.

Radiology provides modern, high-tech diagnostics and offers a broad and advanced range of examinations. We perform, among other things, vascular interventions, skeletal and lung X-rays, CT scans, mammography, ultrasound, PET-CT, and MRI.

Radiology is a development-intensive clinic certified according to ISO 9001:2015, where we continuously monitor, improve, and renew our work. We have county-wide routines, regular training, and collegial support – here there is both breadth and specialization.

The Mammography Department performs approximately 17,000 clinical examinations and 36,000 health checks annually. The clinical activity is located in Jönköping, while screening takes place in Jönköping, in the mobile mammography unit in Höglandet, and at Radiology in Värnamo. We are about 30 employees. We have newly built, well-adapted premises that are bright, modern, and equipped for future diagnostics. We use Sectra RIS/PACS.

Your Profile

We are looking for you with a quality-assured sonographer education with a passed examination, with experience in mammography. You are responsible, meticulous, and thrive in a learning environment with a strong patient focus. You have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly with colleagues and patients.
