We are looking for an engaged Controller/Economist for our finance unit.

The Finance Unit has overall responsibility for driving and developing financial management in the municipality, functioning as internal service within the financial area, and handling procurement. Now we are looking for you who want to contribute to our shared quality and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our new Controller/Economist, you will have a broad and varied job. The largest part involves providing qualified and consultative support to the Social Administration, where you contribute to ensuring that the administration's financial resources are used in the best possible way. You will:

• Support the administration with development, budgeting, follow-up, analysis, reporting, and some ongoing bookkeeping.
• Participate in political meetings and present financial issues.
• Participate in the development of financial reporting and analysis tools together with colleagues.

Naturally, you will contribute to our strive to continuously improve and streamline our working methods. We value new ideas!

To increase quality assurance within the unit, we work on being backups for each other and helping each other when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have experience working as a Controller/Economist and who have a relevant university education in economics or other education that we consider equivalent.

You have extensive knowledge in budget processes, financial analysis, and follow-up. Experience from public sector operations is meritorious, but not a requirement.

With your knowledge, you can coach and support managers in a way that strengthens both their financial competence and the administration's results. Experience with the accounting system Visma (for large organizations) and Hypergene is meritorious.
