Gökstensskolan creates the future – we dare to challenge boundaries together! The school is located in the beautiful town of Torshälla, close to both nature and culture. We have approximately 830 students from preschool class to grade nine. Good relationships are a hallmark of our school, and we always act with good intentions. Responsibilities
This role involves teaching our students in grades three, four, and five in textile arts. To create better conditions for both students and teachers, the teaching is conducted in half-classes. The school has several craft teachers, which facilitates collaboration and the joint development of the subject. As a teacher, you plan your teaching based on the curriculum and convey your subject knowledge. You actively work to create an inclusive and inspiring teaching environment that motivates the students.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a teacher degree and teacher certification with eligibility in textile arts. We would appreciate it if you have experience teaching according to the LGR22 curriculum. You should have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good IT skills, as you will use digital tools as part of your teaching.
You have strong subject knowledge and the ability to pedagogically convey this in the classroom. It is important that you have a good understanding of students' different prerequisites and are skilled at adapting your teaching accordingly. You communicate easily and build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You base your work on proven experience grounded in current research.
