Rytmus is Sweden's leading music high school and has contributed to the development of several well-known musicians and artists since its founding in 1993. We are currently located in Gothenburg, Malmö, Stockholm, Borlänge, and Örebro. We offer the aesthetic program with a specialization in music, which is preparatory for higher education. The specialization focuses on the African-American tradition, including jazz, pop, rock, and soul. Read more about us at www.rytmus.se (http://www.rytmus.se).

Rytmus in Malmö was established in 2008 and offers higher education preparatory courses as well as national specialized training within the aesthetic program with the following specializations: Musician/Artist, Songwriter/Artist, Music Producer, and Music/Society. The school has approximately 200 students and 30 employees. We are now looking for a music teacher for our operations.

Music Teacher for Rytmus in Malmö

Your Role

We are currently offering one or more positions teaching music production, guitar, and drums. The employment percentage will be adjusted based on the applicant's qualifications and can range between 10–80%, which also means we may hire multiple candidates.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher within the subject area. You are knowledgeable and competent in your fields with a strong commitment to teaching and engaging with our fantastic students. As a music teacher at Rytmus in Malmö, you will often participate in various collaborative projects with colleagues and enjoy being creative in your professional role to create the best possible conditions for our students together with your colleagues.

What We Offer

At the start of the school year 2026, Rytmus will move to a new high school campus – Malmö Creative Campus at Tuborgsgatan 2 in central Malmö. On the campus, we will have our own dedicated spaces in one of the buildings, including classrooms, music studios, and ensemble rooms. Designgymnasiet Malmö and LBS Kreativa Gymnasiet Malmö will also move to the campus. The shared areas will include, among other things, a large cafeteria with a stage, an inner courtyard with an outdoor stage, a staffed library, and a school café.

Education at Rytmus is characterized by close collaboration with the industry; many of us working at Rytmus are active in music and media ourselves. The staff is characterized by a strong collaborative culture and a constant desire to develop.

Other Information

The position is a fixed-term employment with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position. Start date: August 10th or as agreed.
